The 532nd Anti Aircraft Artillery-Automatic Weapons Battalion and the 473rd Infantry Regiment, Italy, WWII
Ephesians 4:31-32
IN GOD WE TRUST
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil
speaking be put away from you with all malice.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving
one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

I have also added a link to the United States Merchant Marine site. So many of these merchantmen and women were lost in WWII, and even to this day, receive no recognition. Please visit the site.
Update: 11/01/2007This site started as a tribute to my father, Clifford Eugene Audinet, killed in WWII and the men and units he was associated with in the Italian Campaign and now ends after helping many to locate information about their fathers, uncles or brothers. This page will remain in trubute to them and to guide others seeking the truth to one of the available sources. Hopefully others will take up the challenge and develop other sites.
Because of 9/11 and current events in the world, many Heroic men and women have fallen around the globe in defense of our freedoms. Like my father and his fellow soldiers, these men and women will not be forgotten. Because it is a big job, I leave Korea, Viet Nam, and other conflicts to those who are now maintaining tribute sites. They are many and fitting. I do this here for my own peace in knowing they will be with us always. The list grows at another site
www.defendamerica.gov and will update more quickly than this site.
Please Note: This is not the official site of the 435th AAA (AW) BN. And 473rd Inf. Regt. Assn. or any of the associated AAA units (434th, 435th, 532nd or 900th) or the 760th tank battalion. It is a personal site with a close connection to those associations and units and supports the work of making their history known and remembering their members. That said, the next reunion will be in Washington D.C. over Labor Day weekend 2008.
A short update. The book continues apace with work starting on chapter 12/13 chronicling Dad's arrival in North Africa and then on to Naples as well as my search progress through 2004/2005. More and more of the story of the other AAA units which contributed to the 473rd are being included as veterans give me their stories. As before, completion of the book is scheduled for when I finish. In all seriousness, I'm hoping for late 2008 with a publisher search beginning in Jan 2008.
